Edison Elementary School is located at 2303 North 97th Street in Omaha. Students are served in
kindergarten through sixth grade. Programs in special education, gifted and talented education, guidance and counseling, and English as a Second Language support regular classroom instruction. An active parent-teacher association and several Adopt-A-School business partners support the school's educational efforts by helping to provide financial and material resources. Students, staff, parents, and community members work collaboratively to ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow and develop socially and academically to his or her greatest potential. The mission statement of Edison School embodies the educational goal for each student in stating, "Our mission at Edison School is to use a school-wide proactive approach to enable students and the school community to consistently focus on positive learning and social competencies."
